24th July 2011 Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: nw Wind Stength: 15 Surf / Sea State: flatist Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 22.66 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 12.13 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) What a top day :) go to Levington for breakfast and see the Hurrels but they had already gone :( so read the paper - sadly only very bad news and our deepest sympathy must go to all the families who lost relatives in the tragedy in Norway !!! Then with Mag recovering from a leg op. we went on a couple of mile walk around Levington Bay trying out her new binoculars :) and then with the tide neary at low we drove to the marina entrance where I rigged and then sailed out of the marina channel !!! You don't have to sail at high water here in the river as there is always plenty of water !!! I had a run down to the dock and beat back and then just played around on the Levington Marina bend just beating and reaching,it was great to be out with so'oooooooooooo boats from large ocean going yachts to small dinghies.It could have been abit windier but I got planning in places and at least the sun was out today and it was much warmer than yesterday !!! This might be a good direction with the tide going out for a 30 kt attempt on the longboard but it needs to be blowing at least 25/30 mph !!!! Then home and out for a bbq tea with friends - top day :) Forsale dram 135 isonic 135 (with deck damage) and fanatic falcon 90 - wanted 2007 fanatic falcon 80 - please email squirrell4@talktalk.net |
